DJ Basshunter denies sex assaults
Swedish DJ Basshunter has denied sexually assaulting two women at a Scottish nightclub.
The music star, whose real name is Jonas Altberg, was charged over alleged incidents at Kitty's nightclub in Kirkcaldy on December 10.
At the Fife town's Sheriff Court, he pleaded not guilty to grabbing the women's hair and forcing their heads towards his groin, prosecutors said. The charge relating to the second woman also states he forced her to bend over, pulled up her dress and slapped her on the body.
The 26-year-old DJ from Halmstad is due to go on trial on May 18. The date was set during the hearing before Sheriff James Williamson. He was released on bail.
Altberg, best known for his hits Boten Anna and UK number one Now You're Gone, was released on bail.
He was a contestant on the final series of Celebrity Big Brother last year, finishing in fourth place.
