The Duchess of Cambridge hinted that Prince George could be a future Wimbledon star when she revealed that he has a racket and is already playing tennis.

While her sister Pippa and brother James have both enjoyed premium seats in the royal box at the tennis championships over the last week, Kate attended solo this year.

Kate also said she plays tennis with William - who was in Edinburgh at a thanksgiving service for the Order of the Thistle - but he is "frustrating" to play against as he is left-handed.

After wowing the fashion pack with her daring look at the Natural History Museum the night before, Kate proved she was a creature of habit wearing a yellow Rosanda Illincic dress she last wore during her New Zealand tour in 2014.

She accessorised with a pair of Givenchy sunglasses.

Meanwhile, three generations of the royal family were represented at the special service in St Giles' Cathedral, Edinburgh.

The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh were joined by their daughter the Princess Royal and grandson the Duke of Cambridge, who is known in Scotland as the Earl of Strathearn.

The event took place as the Queen continues her run of official engagements in Scotland.
