Duke of Cambridge has smashing time with tennis kids
The Duke of Cambridge has been put through his paces on the tennis court by a group of schoolchildren.
William was visiting Coventry's War Memorial Park yesterday, which is the first green space in the UK to be dedicated as part of the charity's Centenary Fields programme.
He called on councils to secure the long-term future of memorial parks honouring Britain's war dead during his first public engagement as president of the Fields in Trust charity.
The Duke, who placed a wreath at the garden's centrepiece memorial during his visit, said these green spaces should not be taken for granted, describing them as "a vital part of our national heritage".
Later, the royal joined some children for a quick game of tennis, and just seemed to be getting into his stride before he had to move on.
William then waved the starting flag on a school sports day taking place in another area of the park, before handing out the medals to those taking part in the events.
