Emanuel wins eight meals for mates
Fashion designer David Emanuel won eight meals for his campmates despite being "bitten alive" in a trial called As Scream on TV on I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!
The ordeal involved him standing in TV sets where he was joined by various critters as he turned dials hidden underneath the speakers. This lowered stars hanging above the sets so he could bite them off and put them in his bag.
He gathered eight stars out of a possible nine while enduring crickets, scorpions, cockroaches, spiders and green ants, and commented proudly at one point: "See, fashion designers can be butch."
He then headed back to camp to share the news of his achievement, announcing: "I'm bitten alive," and there were cheers and hugs all round to mark what he had done.
Talk show host Matthew Wright told the Bush Telegraph: " He's a jolly fellow is David. He's my favourite here."
Emanuel said: "I stepped up to the mark and I'm delighted to say everything went swimmingly well."
Meanwhile there was an amusing exchange between snooker champion Steve Davis and Wright.
Davis said to Wright: "Did you have a dream that you were going to wake up and not argue with anybody today?"
Wright hit back with: "No. Do you ever dream about not winding people up?"
"Camp Saviours" Joey Essex, Kian Egan and Amy Willerton picked Emanuel, dancer Vincent Simone and swimmer Rebecca Adlington to join former EastEnder Laila Morse as the celebrities who have been given immunity from the first public eviction which takes place tonight.
Ant and Dec, hosts of the ITV1 show, announced at the end of last night's programme that the winner of the next Bush Tucker trial would also be immune from tonight's first vote-off.
