Fears for nurse hit by Ebola
A nurse being treated for a complication of the Ebola virus is in a "serious condition", the hospital treating her has said.
Pauline Cafferkey (39) was flown from Glasgow to an isolation unit at the Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead, north-west London, in a military aircraft yesterday morning.
Ms Cafferkey, from South Lanarkshire, was diagnosed with Ebola in December after returning from Sierra Leone, where she had been working as a nurse at a Save the Children treatment centre.
Bodily tissues can harbour the Ebola virus for months after the person appears to have fully recovered.
