Gary Glitter was dangerous, claimed girl
A woman who claims former glam rock singer Gary Glitter tried to rape her warned a childhood friend that the singer was "dangerous", a court heard.
The alleged victim claims she was abused by the 70-year-old singer, real name Paul Gadd, after he climbed into her bed in 1975 when she was just a schoolgirl. And another friend of the alleged victim told London's Southwark Crown Court the woman had confided in him about two incidents involving Glitter, the first taking place when she was younger than 10, and that she described a "staggering" Glitter smelling of "booze" leaving the room after the assault.
Glitter, from Marylebone in central London, denies the charge, and an alternative count of indecent assault.
