Hate cleric's wife under investigation
Police are investigating Anjem Choudary's wife after she was featured in a documentary about British women who support IS.
The programme, broadcast last year, features Rubana Akhtar ranting about plots against Muslims and calling Jews "filthy".
Her husband is facing jail for drumming up support for IS. The father-of-five was a leading figure in a now banned extremist group, and a number of his followers went on to become involved in terrorist incidents.
Choudary's Old Bailey trial heard that Akhtar had run up £100 phone bills while trying to spread her extremist views. Scotland Yard confirmed an investigation had been launched.
