Hundreds line streets for Sian

Hundreds of people have lined the streets to pay their respects to nightclubber Sian O'Callaghan.

Wellwishers gathered in the Old Town area of Swindon - where she lived with her boyfriend and was last seen alive - as the funeral cortege passed slowly by with a police escort.

Wiltshire Police asked people to wait in either Bath Road, Devizes Road, Newport Street or Marlborough Road.

More than 500 had gathered in the Old Town area as the procession passed by.

A private service for around 90 close family and friends will follow at Kingsdown Crematorium.

Among the hundreds who paid their respects in Old Town was Susie Rathbone.

She said: "A lot of us have already been touched by what's happened to Sian and to her family.

"I think that we all felt it could have affected any one of us.

"I came here to show my support to the family and that Swindon does care about these people."

As the cortege passed by, many people threw flowers on to the hearse and others fought back tears.
