Police investigating the deaths of a husband and wife at their family home believe it was a murder-suicide.

The victims have been identified by Avon and Somerset Police as 42-year-old Tracey Baker and 35-year-old Kevin Baker, from Chard in Somerset.

Post-mortem examinations showed Mrs Baker died from multiple head injuries, while it is believed Mr Baker killed himself.

Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.

Senior investigation officer Andy Mott said: "Our thoughts are very much with the families affected by this tragic incident and they're continuing to be supported by specially trained family liaison officers.

"Although we're not looking for anyone else in connection with these deaths, our inquiries will continue to develop a full understanding of what happened, following which a file will be supplied to the coroner's office."

Reports claimed the Bakers had three children.
