Fans lined the streets to applaud the cortege as it passed and released balloons as a tribute to Bradley.

Thousands of football fans gathered in Blackhall, County Durham, to pay tribute to football mascot Bradley Lowery, who died last week after battling cancer.

England striker Jermain Defoe joined mourners at St Joseph’s Catholic Church.
