Ipswich hospital on lockdown after a man was 'stabbed outside' in the car park
An Ipswich hospital was reportedly lockdown after a man was stabbed outside in the main car park.
According to witnesses, the suspected assailant got in a van after the attack before fleeing the scene. The victim is said to be in a critical condition.
Police responded to a report of a suspected stabbing just after 1:30pm to the hospital on Heath Road where a heavy police presence remains outside the A & E department.
Witnesses have claimed the victim was found collapsed on the pavement outside the hospital entrance with serious injuries, the Mirror reports.
About 15 minutes before Police were called to the hospital, Ipswich police received a report of a suspected stabbing in the West Meadows area.
A Suffolk Police spokesman said: "Police officers are on the scene of both incidents and inquiries are underway to determine if there are any links between the two."
