Jay Z all smiles after 'attack'
Beyonce and Jay Z were all smiles at a basketball game just hours after a leaked security video appeared to show the singer's sister attacking the rap star.
The married couple were snapped smiling and chatting to each other as they watched the game in New York.
Earlier yesterday, US celebrity website TMZ had sparked headlines around the world by posting the video, which it said was shot last week inside a New York City hotel lift.
Beyonce's younger sister Solange appeared to be repeatedly attacking Jay Z in the video, which is being investigated by the Standard Hotel.
It is not known what sparked the outburst as there is no audio on the video.
But the footage, in which Beyonce does not appear to intervene and Jay Z does not retaliate, shows the performers following an after-party at the hotel following last week's glitzy Met Gala.
A security guard intervenes and appears to attempt to stop the lift.
Solange, 27, and Drunk In Love singer Beyonce, 32, left together after the incident while rapper Jay Z travelled in a separate car, according to reports.
The couple later appeared court side at a game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Miami Heat at the Barclays Centre in New York.
Beyonce, 32, donned a denim jumpsuit and black sandals while Jay Z, 44, wore a white T-shirt and black trousers and a gold chain around his neck.
The Standard Hotel issued a statement saying it is "shocked and disappointed that there was a clear breach of our security system".
"We are investigating with the utmost urgency the circumstances surrounding the situation and, as is our customary practice, will discipline and prosecute the individuals involved to our fullest capacity," it said.
Jay Z and Beyonce married in 2008 and have a two-year-old daughter together, Blue Ivy Carter.
Last year they topped a list of highest earning celebrity couples, banking around 95 million US dollars (£56 million) in the 12 months to June 2013 .
The pair are expected to tour together this summer.
TMZ posted a longer, three-minute version of the video later yesterday. Representatives for Beyonce, Jay Z and Solange declined to comment.
Solange, who recently performed at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, where Beyonce joined her on stage, tweeted on Sunday: "This might have been top 10 days ever in life."
Beyonce recently posted a message on her Instagram account with the lines: "Help me to choose friends wisely so I won't be led astray."
It went on: "Give me discernment and strength to separate myself from anyone who is not a good influence."
