Judy Murray is just 'thrilled' to be a grandmother
Judy Murray has thanked people for their well wishes on the birth of her first granddaughter.
Tennis star Andy and wife Kim became parents to a baby girl on Sunday, with his agent saying that the family "are doing well".
No details have yet been revealed about the child's name but news of the birth prompted an influx of good wishes from members of the public.
New grandmother Judy responded on Twitter yesterday saying: "Thank you for all the baby messages. Thrilled to bits."
Andy and Kim, who are both 28, married in Murray's home town of Dunblane in April last year. Before the Australian Open, he described the wait for the birth as "very, very exciting''.
