Kate smiling face in the crowd as royals pop in to watch action
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry watched the latest action from Glasgow 2014 as they joined thousands of spectators at the Hydro for the gymnastics.
The trio arrived to take their seats in the Games family section of the arena shortly before 3pm as gymnasts from across the Commonwealth competed in the men's and women's team finals, and individual qualifying rounds.
The artistic gymnastics is the first of several sessions that William, Kate and Harry are due to attend as competition on day five of the Commonwealth Games continues.
Kate, dressed in a navy blazer, dark blue jeans and wedges, sat between William and Harry as they chatted while the crowd sang and clapped along to the Proclaimers' I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) between the rotations.
The royal party's arrival at the Hydro went almost unnoticed by the crowds until cameras picked them up on the arena's giant screens.
Spectators broke into applause as a close-up of the Duke and Duchess and Harry flashed up.
Among the gymnasts competing were the Welsh women's and men's teams.
The action also included athletics, badminton, boxing, hockey, lawn bowls, netball, shooting, squash, swimming, table tennis and weightlifting.
The royal trio later walked to the nearby SECC arena where they watched the boxing action.
Spectators sitting near them turned their attention from the ring to point their cameras at the royal visitors.
But it was not until their arrival was announced and their faces were shown on the giant screens that the crowds started cheering and waving flags.
All three smiled as the announcer welcomed them to the stadium. William sat in between Harry and Kate, who removed her blazer after arriving, as they waited for English boxer Scott Fitzgerald to enter the ring. They watched the action intently, joining in the applause as he won his welterweight clash with Azumah Mohammed of Ghana.
William, wearing an open-necked shirt, Kate and Harry stayed for around 45 minutes before leaving for another venue.
