A violent kidnapper is on the run from an open prison after absconding on Friday night, police have said.
Daniel Best, 25, jailed indefinitely in 2007 for kidnapping his ex-girlfriend, absconded from Hollesley Bay prison, Suffolk Police said.
Members of the public are being warned not to approach Best who has a "noticeable limp".
He is the second prisoner to abscond from the category D prison in the last month.
A Suffolk Police spokeswoman said Best was in the prison at 5pm last night but was not present when roll call was taken at 7.50pm.
"Police are asking anyone who may have seen him or anyone with information about where he is now to contact officers," she said. "You should not approach him or take any further action."
Best, from Ipswich, is around 5ft 10in and has a medium build with short, dark hair and brown eyes, police said.
His disappearance is the second of a prisoner from Hollesley Bay prison in recent weeks.
Abrar Abbasi, 32, serving a three-year sentence for producing cannabis and driving offences, went missing on June 8.
Police said at the time that Abbasi, who has connections to Walthamstow in the north-east and east areas of London, was seen getting into a silver Ford C-Max car at around 2pm on that day.
