London Victoria station evacuated and Buckingham Palace partially closed over 'unexploded WW2 bomb discovery'
London's Victoria station was evacuated and Buckingham Palace partially closed over the discovery of a suspected World War Two bomb on a building site.
Thousands were caught up in the chaos during Friday morning's rush hour at around 9.30am.
The Metropolitan Police said the station was evacuated due to what was "believed to be a World War 2 ordnance" on a nearby building site.
Videos posted on social media showed people flooding out of the station.
The alert was later stood down just after 10am.
