Man accused of music teacher murder

A 19-year-old man has been charged with murdering a music teacher who was found stabbed at his home.

Unemployed Dylan Jackson was arrested on Wednesday in Bath, Somerset, by officers investigating the death of Herman Simpson.

West Midlands Police said Jackson, of Crosby Close, Wolverhampton, is due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates' Court this morning accused of murder, possession of a firearm, offering to supply heroin and possession of cocaine.

Mr Simpson, 47, died after suffering multiple stab wounds at his flat in Compton Road, Wolverhampton, on April 13.

Detective Inspector Warren Hines, who is leading the murder inquiry, said: "Mr Simpson's family have been informed of this latest development.

"On behalf of West Midlands Police I extend my sympathies to all those affected by his death."
