A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after two people died at a house.

The man and woman were found injured when police and the ambulance service arrived to the property at Bentfield Gardens in Stansted at around 11pm last night but were pronounced dead at the scene.

The 23-year-old is being held in custody, Essex police said.

They appealed for anyone with information to contact DCI Simon Werrett at the Brentwood major investigation team.
