Man charged over Bournemouth flat murder

A man has been charged with murder over a stabbing death in a seaside town.

Vladislav Pomozov, 45, will appear at Bournemouth Magistrates' Court tomorrow accused of killing Latvian Andrejs Trofimovics, 25, Dorset Police said.

A post mortem examination revealed Mr Trofimovics died of a single stab wound in a flat in Cleveland Road in the coastal town in the early hours of January 1, a force spokesman said.

A second man, aged 46 and from Bournemouth, received non life-threatening injuries and was treated in hospital after police came to the scene at 2.25am.

Police said Mr Trofimovics' family lived in Bournemouth and were being assisted by officers.
