Man held after missing teens traced

A 22-year-old man has been arrested after two teenage girls who went missing on Friday were found safe and well.

Police launched a search for Sammy Clarke, 14, and Siobhan Clarke, 15, from Maldon, Essex, after they were not seen for two days.

The girls, who are not related, left school early on Friday to meet up with 22-year-old Kieran Hartley-Anderson.

Essex Police said they were found safe and well by police officers in Hamlet Court Road, ‪Westcliff‬, near Southend, at just after 10am today.

A police spokesman added: "We are also no longer searching for Keiran Hartley-Anderson, 22. He was also found in Hamlet Court Road.

"A 22-year-old man from the ‪Southend‬ area has been arrested in connection with this incident.

"Many thanks to everyone who shared our appeal."
