A 10-year-old boy feared missing in Cumbria has returned home, police said.

Officers and relatives had been searching through the night for Joshua Partridge, from Workington, who was last seen at about 8pm on Saturday on Poole Road in the seaside town.

Locals were urged to check their gardens and outbuildings, and police received requests from members of the public to help.

The force tweeted: "Good news! Joshua Partridge has returned home safe and well. Thank you all for your help this morning."
