Murder charge after man found with fatal injuries at forces veterans' centre

A man has been charged with murdering another man who lived at a centre for armed forces veterans.

Craig Guy, 34, was found with fatal injuries at the Beacon in Catterick Garrison, North Yorkshire, at around 11.30pm on Friday.

It was believed he was stabbed.

A 51-year-old man was arrested and has been charged with murder. He will appear before York Magistrates on Monday.

North Yorkshire Police said Mr Guy's family asked not to be contacted.

According to its website, the Beacon offers supported housing to single veterans "who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and who have support needs".
