Murder probe after car park attack

Police have launched a murder investigation after a man died following an attack in a car park.

The 45-year-old victim was found unconscious in the car park behind Europa House in Pound Way, Folkestone, Kent, at 8.25am on Saturday.

He was taken to the Royal London Hospital where he was treated for significant head injuries, but died yesterday.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently in custody.

Three people arrested on Saturday on suspicion of assault have now been released, including one man who has been bailed pending further inquiries until December 6.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Police believe the assault took place at around 3.30am and would like to hear from anyone who was in the area and witnessed anything suspicious."
