Detectives have issued a description of a suspect wanted in connection with the murder of a 38-year-old man found stabbed at an internet cafe.

The victim, who has yet to be named by police, was pronounced dead at the scene in Cape Hill, Smethwick, near Birmingham, on Saturday, despite receiving treatment from medical staff.

A police spokesman said officers were continuing to search for a man described as black and of a large build, who was wearing a dark quilted, patterned jacket, blue jeans and trainers.

CCTV footage is also being examined in the hunt for the suspect, and detectives are appealing for anyone who can identify him to come forward.

Detective Inspector Justin Spanner, from the force's CID, said: "This happened in broad daylight on a Saturday afternoon in a busy area and we are aware that several witnesses were at the scene and as yet have not come forward.

"We have specialist officers liaising with the family of the victim and our thoughts remain with them at this sad time."

Anyone with information is urged to call West Midlands Police on 101 or pass on information anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
