Police hold two men after woman's body found in car boot

The body of a woman has been found in a car boot.

Police were tipped off shortly after 7.35pm on Thursday that the body was in a vehicle in Heywood, Greater Manchester.

Officers followed a car fitting the description given when it was seen in Claybank Street at about 3.50pm today before it was abandoned by the occupants in nearby River Street.

Two men were arrested on suspicion of murder.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "The men remain in custody for questioning and inquiries are ongoing."
