Prince Harry praises London for its 'resilience'
Prince Harry has praised the resilience of London as he offered his condolences to the victims of the devastating tower fire.
Harry's words of support came as he visited Borough Market to encourage visitors to return to the area that reopened on Wednesday after the terrorist attack in which eight people were killed.
Fruit and vegetable trader Paul Wheeler chatted to the prince and told him how he and other traders were sending boxes of produce to families made homeless by the blaze at Grenfell Tower that has so far claimed 17 lives.
Harry's words echoed those of the Queen, who said that her "thoughts and prayers are with those families who have lost loved ones in the Grenfell Tower fire and the many critically ill in hospital''.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Harry made an undisclosed donation to an appeal fund supporting fire survivors.
