Prisoner arrested after fellow inmate killed in high security prison
A serving prisoner has been killed in a high security prison, police said.
The man died at Long Lartin Prison in Worcestershire at around 9am on Monday morning.
A second prisoner at the Category A unit, a man in his 60s, has been arrested on suspicion of murder, West Mercia Police said.
The death at Long Lartin came little more than a year after another prisoner was killed there.
Murderer John York, 25,from Northamptonshire, was killed at the prison in May 2015.
York had been jailed for life with a minimum of 18 years in March 2013 after being found guilty of beating 60-year-old Glenn Clary to death in August 2012.
Russell Anthony Oliver, 46, was given a whole-life sentence in March for York's murder.
