Queen opens armed forces charity HQ

The Queen will open the headquarters of an armed forces charity today.
Accompanied by t he Duke of Edinburgh, she will unveil a plaque to mark 60 years of her support for SSAFA, formerly the Soldiers' and Sailors' Families Association.
The couple will be greeted by the Queen's cousin, Prince Michael of Kent, who is president of SSAFA, and General Sir Kevin O'Donoghue, the charity's chairman.
They will hear a presentation on the work of the charity before attending a reception.
Guests at the event at Queen Elizabeth House, St Dunstan's Hill, London, will include beneficiaries of, volunteers and staff from SSAFA.
The Queen, the charity's patron, will also be presented with a posy by a youngster whose family has been supported by the charity.
