The Duchess of Cambridge traded tiaras for wellies in one of her most unusual royal duties to date.

But her country girl roots did not help her attempts at "welly-wanging", which fell well short of the target.

Nevertheless Kate, along with her husband Prince William and brother-in-law Prince Harry, appeared to have a ball, dissolving into giggles as they tried the quirky sport.

The trio joined children from the charities they support to enjoy the premiere of the new film by British animators Aardman, Shaun The Sheep: The Farmer's Llamas, and take part in a Shaun The Sheep-themed craft activities session.

The event was part of a creative industries-themed event by the Charities Forum, a collection of more than 30 organisations of which William, Kate and Harry are patrons or work closely with.
