A registered sex offender who went missing from a secure hospital unit has been found.

Richard Ayomanor, 38, absconded on a visit to a Tesco supermarket in Cheetham Hill, Manchester, with a support worker on Saturday afternoon.

A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police said: "Richard Ayomanor, who was missing from a secure unit in Manchester, has been found safe and well by police and is now being returned to hospital."
