Singer Duke Special is fined for having no insurance
A judge sparked laughs in court after making a quip about dreadlocked singer Duke Special.
The singer-songwriter, whose real name is Peter Wilson, appeared at Antrim Magistrates' Court after failing to produce driving documents.
He had been stopped by police on June 6, but wasn't able to produce his driving documents.
After he didn't hand them in to police within a week, the 44-year-old Belfast musician was charged.
He told District Judge Alan White his insurance had expired without his knowledge.
The judge fined him £175 and handed him six penalty points.
As Wilson walked out of court the judge joked: "He's definitely the winner of the hairstyle of the day contest."
