Sir Elton John leads the tributes for Graham Taylor
Sir Elton John has paid tribute to former England manager Graham Taylor.
Mr Taylor died yesterday aged 72 of a suspected heart attack. He enjoyed success in club management, particularly at Watford and Aston Villa, before taking charge of England in 1990.
Sir Elton, Taylor's chairman at Watford, expressed his sadness. He wrote: "I am deeply saddened to hear about Graham's passing. He was like a brother to me. We shared an unbreakable bond since we first met."
Former England striker Gary Lineker tweeted: "An outstanding manager and thoroughly decent man."
