Six teenagers held over stab death

Six teenagers have been arrested after a 26-year-old man died following a street stabbing.

Police were called to the incident in York Road, Southend, Essex, at about 7pm last night.

The victim, from south east London, had suffered two stab wounds.

He was taken to hospital by air ambulance but died this morning, Essex Police said.

The arrested men, aged between 17 and 19 and from Southend, Basildon and London, are being questioned by detectives.

Witnesses should contact detectives at Southend on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
