Soccer and showbiz stars turn out for Jamie Vardy's big match
Showbusiness stars and Leicester City team-mates of Jamie Vardy have joined family and friends in celebrating his wedding to fiancee Rebekah Nicholson.
Among guests at the lavish ceremony at 19th century Peckforton Castle in rural Cheshire were One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson and Kasabian guitarist - and fervent Foxes fan - Sergio Pizzorno.
Fellow musicians Tinchy Stryder and 2013 X Factor winner Sam Bailey, another Leicester favourite, were also in attendance and are thought to be on the entertainment bill for the wedding guests.
Vardy's Premier League-winning colleagues Wes Morgan, Danny Simpson and Marcin Wasilewski also saw him tie the knot.
Security was strict at the gated entrance to the secluded venue with only those on the wedding list allowed access.
A magazine deal for exclusive rights coverage of the wedding has reportedly been signed by the newlyweds.
It is thought the couple and the striker's best man, ex-Leicester team-mate David Nugent, stayed at Peckforton Castle overnight.
Vardy, 29, had already postponed his nuptials three times to avoid his footballing commitments but will miss England's friendly against Australia on Friday.
The honeymoon is also on ice with the former Fleetwood Town centre forward expected to figure in manager Roy Hodgson's plans for this summer's European Championships in France.
Vardy had promised he would have "a very quiet night" on Wednesday and would look to "get plenty of sleep" ahead of returning to the England set-up.
Peckforton Castle near Tarporley bills itself as "an enchanting hotel in the heart of Cheshire".
It offers 48 individually designed bedrooms "blending luxury and contemporary decor", with its grounds containing red sandstone walls, marble floors, vaulted dining rooms and open fires.
No more than one wedding can be booked each day, with visitors having the option of booking the location for their exclusive use.
Vardy may wish to take it easy ahead of his footballing challenges this summer but his guests can take advantage of a range of activities within the grounds including off-road driving, mountain biking, air rifle shooting and archery.
Miss Nicholson is said to have met Vardy in January 2014 when she was working in events and helped organise his 27th birthday party, with the couple having a daughter Sofia together.
Miss Nicholson also has a son and a daughter from previous relationships.
Vardy has shot to footballing stardom this season in scoring 24 goals to help clinch the Premier League title.
Just four years ago he was playing for then non-league club Fleetwood Town when Leicester City signed him for a reported fee of £1 million.
