'Spoilt' Prince George had too many birthday gifts, says dad Wills
The Duke of Cambridge has revealed his son Prince George was "far too spoilt" and received "too many presents" on his third birthday as he and the Duchess visited Sir Ben Ainslie's America's Cup headquarters in Portsmouth.
William and Kate have joined thousands of spectators to cheer on Sir Ben's Land Rover BAR team as it competes on the Solent in the America's Cup World Series (ACWS).
The royal couple began the day by visiting the home crew's base in Portsmouth, Hampshire, where they were shown the team's state-of-the-art testing boats.
Later they were perched on the front of a high-speed twin engine catamaran travelling at speeds in excess of 40 knots as they watched Sir Ben's team race to victory.
The couple, wearing Land Rover BAR shirts, chased after the racing catamarans during the three races of the afternoon.
Prior to climbing on to the deck, Kate tied her hair into a ponytail and put on a baseball cap to prevent it being swept around in the sea winds.
At the end of the final race, the couple's boat, bearing the Royal standard, sailed alongside Sir Ben's catamaran as the team and their support vessel cheered and began their celebrations.
William congratulated the team by applauding the Olympic champion's crew as they sailed past. The Duke of Edinburgh also visited the base on Friday before watching a practice race from the water.
