Take That announce new tour dates
Pop band Take That have announced they will go on tour next year, as they prepare to hit the road as a trio for the first time.
Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald will perform 24 concerts across eight arenas , kicking off at the Hydro in Glasgow on April 28.
The live shows will come four years after the group's last record-breaking stadium tour, Progress, and marks their first without Jason Orange, who said he had quit the band in September.
Robbie Williams has also said he will not be returning for their forthcoming tour.
In a statement, Take That said: "We've always been very proud of our live shows and are very excited to be touring again next year.
"Playing live is something we love the most about what we do and we're looking forward to putting on the most amazing show we can.
"It will have been four years since our last tour so we're really keen to get back out on the road to play some of our biggest songs from the last 20 years alongside our new ones. We hope to see you there."
After the announcement, Barlow tweeted: "We can't wait to get back on the road and see you all, by far our favourite thing to do!"
Donald added: "Hope you're all as excited as we are, see you on the road."
Owen said: "We're really looking forward to going back on tour and seeing you all."
Former X Factor contestant Ella Henderson will be a special guest on the tour following the success of her debut single Ghost and album Chapter One, after both reached number one in the UK charts.
Take That's seventh studio album III is to be released on December 1, with the first single These Days due out on November 23.
The three remaining members of Take That came in for criticism earlier this year when it emerged that Barlow, Donald and Owen and manager Jonathan Wild had invested tens of millions of pounds in what have been described as tax avoidance schemes.
Barlow later said in an interview the tax situation was a "problem" but insisted his fans were "not interested" in his financial issues
Tickets for Take That's tour go on sale on Thursday, November 13 at 9am. They are available from gigsandtours.com and ticketmaster.co.uk.
The tour will visit Glasgow, Belfast, Dublin, Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester and Sheffield before finishing in London in June.
