Teen sex claims are a load of lies: Clifford

By Margaret Davis

PR guru Max Clifford branded allegations that he sexually assaulted a teenage girl in his car in the 1970s as "a load of lies", as he returned to the witness box for a second day.

The 70-year-old is standing trial accused of 11 counts of indecent assault against seven girls and women, all of which he denies.

Giving evidence at London's Southwark Crown Court, Clifford said he did not remember ever meeting two of his alleged victims.

One alleged victim claims she met Clifford on holiday in Torremolinos, Spain, in 1977, and he kept in touch with her family, coming to her house and taking her out in his car after she returned to the UK, where he would persuade her to perform sexual acts on him.

But under questioning from his defence barrister, Richard Horwell QC, Clifford said: "That's totally and utterly untrue. It's just crazy, it's a load of lies."
