The Duchess of Cornwall was said to be "delighted" after she was handed Andy Murray's sweatband as a memento following his Wimbledon third round victory.

Britain's top tennis star threw his wristband in celebration towards Camilla as she sat in the stands of Number One court.

It was caught by All England Club chairman Philip Brook, who then passed it to Camilla - who had earlier revealed she was a big Rafael Nadal fan.

After his straight sets victory, Murray said: "The Duchess opened up her bag and my wristband was in there, so he obviously had given it to her." Clarence House thanked Murray for his wristband on Twitter. In a tweet, it said: "Thank you for your wrist band Andy!" His mum Judy Murray also tweeted the incident was the "highlight" of today.
