Three bikers killed in collision

Police are investigating after three men were killed in a crash involving two motorbikes.

A passenger and two riders died in the crash on the A61 at Wingerworth near Chesterfield, Derbyshire, on Saturday afternoon.

Two men from the Chesterfield area, aged 45 and 49, and a 46-year-old man from Sheffield were pronounced dead at the scene.

Their families have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers, Derbyshire Police said.

Officers are investigating the cause of the crash, which happened near to the Hunloke Arms pub at about 3pm.

Anyone with information about the collision is asked to contact Derbyshire Police on 101.
