Dramatic footage shows men smashing their way into a woman's home shortly before she was robbed at gunpoint.

West Midlands Police have issued CCTV showing three men approaching the property and using a wheelie bin to batter their way through a patio door, in a bid to trace the culprits.

Once inside, they threaten the 37-year-old victim with a gun before making off with her handbag.

The men are described as being in their 20s, with one wearing a baseball cap and another a white woolly hat.

Two of the men were wearing light grey or white clothing and the third was wearing a light grey body warmer-style jacket.

The man with the gun is described as black, while his two accomplices were white.

Police have asked anyone with information about the incident, which happened in Bosworth Drive, Chelmsley Wood in Solihull near Birmingham at 11pm on February 5, to call police on 101.
