Two charged over care home cruelty

Two men have been charged with child cruelty as part of a widespread investigation into allegations of historical abuse at care homes across North Wales.

Kelvin Horriban, 62, from Beeston, Nottingham, and Keith Evans, 70, from Old Rhosrobin, Wrexham, have been charged in connection with the alleged offences committed against a young boy between 1978 and 1981.

Horriban also faces an allegation of assault.

Both men were investigated by National Crime Agency (NCA) officers from Operation Pallial.

The defendants will appear at Mold Magistrates' Court on October 9, said the NCA.
