Two held after woman's body found in car boot

Two men are being questioned by police over the discovery of a woman's body in a car boot.

Police were tipped off on Thursday that the body was in a vehicle in Heywood, near Rochdale, Greater Manchester.

Officers spotted a car fitting the description on Friday and chased it along Claybank Street before it was abandoned in nearby River Street.

Two men were detained and arrested on suspicion of murder. A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "The men remain in custody for questioning and inquiries are ongoing."
