Two men have been arrested on suspicion of terrorism linked to Syria.

The pair, aged 25 and 32, were held at their home in Walsall by officers from West Midlands Police, and a number of addresses in the area are being searched.

The force said the men were detained on suspicion of the preparation, commission or instigation of terrorist-related offences.

Their arrests were part of an ongoing investigation and there is no immediate threat to the public, a statement on the West Midlands Police website said.
