Watson's Wimbledon dream halted
Heather Watson's march through Wimbledon has been brought to a halt by world number three Agnieszka Radwanska.
The 20-year-old, who became the first British woman to make it to the third round in a decade, was defeated 6-0 6-2 by Radwanska from Poland.
Watson put up a valiant defence, but her departure means Britain has no women left in the Grand Slam and the nation's hopes now rest firmly on the shoulders of Andy Murray.
Fans rooted for Watson, many clutching Union flags, while the south-west London club's Murray Mount was packed for the match.
The young player was watched on Centre Court by Fed Cup captain Judy Murray, and despite defeat stopped to sign autographs as she left the court.
