Woman, 21, held in terrorism probe

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences.

The 21-year-old, who has not been named, was arrested yesterday morning on suspicion of failing to disclose information, contrary to Section 38(b) of the Terrorism Act, West Midlands Police said.

The woman, from Hayes, west London, was detained by officers from the West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit.

She was questioned at a police station in London and later released on police bail, pending further inquiries.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said the arrest was as a result of an ongoing Birmingham-based, Syria-related investigation in which two people have already been charged.
