Woman, 91, dies in car crash

An elderly woman died and another was left seriously injured following a road traffic accident.

The pair, aged 91 and 89, were travelling in a red Suzuki Alto which was involved in a crash in Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire at 11.40am today.

They were both taken to Morriston Hospital in a serious condition. The older woman later died.

Both are from the Llandeilo area and their families have been informed.

The other car involved in the collision was a grey Ford Focus.

Police are appealing for information from anyone who saw the incident at the junction of Bridge Street and Church Street.
