Woman held in 'terror funds' probe

A 44-year-old woman has been arrested by police on suspicion of fundraising for the purpose of terrorism, Scotland Yard said.

The woman was arrested by officers from the Counter Terrorism Command at a home in South London this morning and is being questioned at a central London police station.

Officers are continuing to search the address.

It comes after a 19-year-old man appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court today charged with terror offences, following his arrest at Luton Airport yesterday.

Yahya Rashid, of Willesden, north west London, was arrested by counter-terrorism officers after landing on a flight from Istanbul.

He is charged with engaging in conduct in preparation for committing an act of terrorism, and engaging in conduct with the intention of assisting others to commit acts of terrorism, between November 1 2014 and March 31 2015.
