Women killed in wall collision

Two young women have died after a car crashed into a wall.

The women, both 19, were passengers in the vehicle which crashed in Lyndhurst in the New Forest around midnight, Hampshire Police said.

The 21-year-old male driver and another 19-year-old female passenger are being treated in hospital, with police saying their injuries were not life threatening.

A Hampshire Police spokesman said: "A member of the public contacted Hampshire Constabulary at midnight this morning when a car collided with a wall on Gosport Lane.

"Two of the passengers were pronounced dead at the scene."

The road was closed overnight but has now reopened, he added.
