Unemployed man celebrates £2m lottery prize
A Co Donegal man who has been unemployed for two years after his plastering business collapsed during the recession is celebrating scooping €2.6million on the Irish National Lottery.
Graham Doherty and his wife Stephanie Ferguson scooped the cash at the weekend after Stephanie bought a ticket in Buncrana on the way home from work.
She scooped the top prize of €2,683,784 (£2,171,156.80) with a €4 Quickpick.
Stephanie said: “I don't think it's sunk in yet how much we've actually won. It will take a couple of days and then it'll be okay,”
