Welcome to the Belfast Telegraph's new website
Tuesday, 8 July 2008
The Belfast Telegraph's website has always brought you the first-class content of our print edition and sister titles in London and Dublin, now we're delighted to have a new site that will enable us to bring you even more online.
Here are some of the highlights of the changes so far:
New look: Now it's even easier to find whatever you're looking for. Whether it's the latest news from Northern Ireland and abroad or the lowdown on local business - every area of the site is clearly linked and easily accessible.
There will be more from your favourite writers: Keep an eye on TeleBlogs - the online debating chamber where our diverse stable of columnists and commentators come together to discuss the issues of the day - and invite you to join in.
You can post your comments on daily news stories as well as challenge the views and analysis expressed on the site.
The new audience experience includes caption competitions and online polls.
What should we poll? Why don’t you help us to decide - just submit your suggestions to digital.editorial@belfasttelegraph.co.uk
Why not sign up for the Belfast Telegraph’s free daily newsletter email providing links to the big breaking news, sport and business stories of the day.
Our picture galleries coverage has been expanded to include more community based events as well as hundreds of images from the top clubs and entertainment venues around Northern Ireland. If you don’t like what you see why not send us your own images.
New to the site is a permanent collection of pictures taken during the Troubles. This collection will grow week by week – and once again you are invited to submit your own images.
BTTV & Video : New to the site in August will be exclusive video and audio coverage of the top Premiership press conferences - watch Ferguson and Benitez go head-to-head with the media. We will be covering United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton and Sunderland with video.
BTTV continues to provide a big stage for the little voice. Our roving video journalist will drill down to the heart of local stories.
The Belfast Telegraph’s TV news bulletins are updated throughout the day - covering the big breaking stories
Our enhanced Business coverage includes Business Clinic, where your questions are answered by our panel of experts, while the Business Events Planner provides an up-to-date database of essential dates for your business diary.
Improved search: Unlike other sites, our search index is updated throughout the day - capturing the newest articles for inclusion in deep searches.

How do I send a letter to the Editor? The site lacks any contact information such as how to do this.

Although I only look at your web site occasionally, I think it
certainly is better, it is much more simple and items are
well listed. For me it is always nice to be in touch with my
old home town.

I have had the local newsagent deliver my Tele for 50 years, and my parents before me. Now you have taken that away. They are newsagents - you are printers. Leave well enough alone.

New site looks good guys. Are the Adsforfree people not selling anything any more? Everytime I click on a section it says there are no adverts.

Dear Sir/Madame. This was my first visit to your site and found it a treat, I'm a new user to this world wide web so find it a bit confusing, hopefully I will pick things up in the not to distant future. I was impressed how the site was devided into the four compass points making it easier to find out what is of intrest in our own area. "Thanks for that" I will be using this site more often now as the delivery of the CT paper has gone downhill lately. I am a medically retired and looked forward to your paper in the past. This makes your site more important to people like myself who needed the service. Your Truthfully Colin.

To the Editor;
It is difficult for me to believe that the Irish People are allowing the unholy distruction of Tara Hill. Why aren't there a million signatures on the "save Tara Hill from the M3 highway" petition? It is the responsibility of the Media ie. BT, to report actions such as this to the whole world. If this were the Vatican being destroyed in lew of a highway, Ireland would rise up and fight! Where is Eire NOW when her history needs her so badly? I, here in little Oakridge Oregon, USA feel Tara is the seat of my ancestors power and hense, the seat of mine! Siochain, Linnte
